Imprescindible versión acústica de "Now You're Gone" de Tom Walker y Zara Larsson

Tom Walker es uno de los artistas internacionales destacados. Su "Leave a light on" abría ese camino a la fama y, además, fue una de las canciones también importantes de la última edición de La noche de CADENA 100.

"What a time to be alive" es por derecho propio uno de los álbumes destacados de los últimos meses. Y dentro del disco aparecían temas de calidad de principio a fin. Dentro de ellos, estaba "Now You're Gone" una enorme canción con la presencia de la cantante y compositora sueca Zara Larsson. Más adelante recordaremos cómo es el vídeo oficial que llegaba en mayo de este año 2019 y que contempla una historia dura recordando que "ahora ya no estás".

Del compositor de Glasgow, de Tom, nos quedaremos siempre con una frase brilante: "si puedes tocar una canción con una guitarra acústica y cantársela a un amigo, vas por el buen camino". Ahora, ha hecho lo propio, en acústico para una gran canción.

Nacido en la ciudad escocesa de Glasgow, a los tres años de edad la familia de Walker se reubicó en un pequeño pueblo las afueras de Manchester.

Allí sería donde el pequeño Tom se lanzaría de cabeza a la música, haciéndose con su primera guitarra a los 13 años y ahorrando para comprarse un equipo de grabación. 

Walker montó su primera banda tras finalizar los estudios en el Music College, pero resultó ser tan autosuficiente que uno de los integrantes le dijo -Tom ¿te das cuenta? En realidad, no nos necesitas (...). Estaba claro: Tras empezar hostelería y abandonar una buena serie de trabajos temporales, entre los que se incluye el de asistente de fotomatón en fiestas.

Tom Walker se matriculó en la Universidad de Londres, se sacó un grado en composición y -en el sótano de la casa que compartía con otros estudiantes- compuso el disco que ha supuesto su debut, producido con Jim Abbis (Adele, Artic Monkeys), Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Clean Bandit) y Mike Spencer (Kylie Minogue, Rudimental)
