'Blinding Lights' de The Weeknd continúa haciendo historia en la emblemática lista Billboard Hot 100

Si IFPI, la Federación Internacional de la Industria Fonográfica, reconocía 'Blinding lights' como la canción más escuchada del 2020 mientras The Weeknd recibía CERO nominaciones en para la 63 Entrega Anual de los Premios GRAMMY, todos reconocen la potencia de esta canción.

Ahora, suma y sigue

'Blinding lights' de The Weeknd permanece en la lista de canciones más escuchadas en EEUU, una semana más. Son un total de OCHENTA sus semanas consiguiendo ser la segunda canción en la historia de Billboard Hot 100 en conseguirlo. Actualmente, su puesto es el número 17.

Y es la segunda porque por delante está Imagine Dragons con 'Radioactive', que marcó 87 semanas de permanencia. Es decir, sí podemos decir que The Weeknd es líder como cantante solista en el histórico de este ranking.

Hasta ahora, este tema del canadiense ha conseguido ocho discos de platino y se ha mantenido en el TOP 10 de la mencionada lista Billboard Hot 100 durante todo el año pasado.

Este nuevo Récord

El cofundador del colectivo que rodea a The Weeknd, Amir "Cash" Esmailian, desvelaba también esta noticia. Recordemos que es el gerente y cofundador del sello discográfico, XO Records, y el co-gerente de The Weeknd.

Así, decía que 'Blinding lights' es la primera canción en solitario en pasar estas ochenta semanas consecutivas en la lista Billboard Hot 100
